Silkfire · v1.0
Creator Terms
Effective with the launch of Silkfire. v1.0.
These terms apply to anyone publishing content on Silkfire as a creator. By enabling creator mode on your Silkfire account, you agree to these terms in addition to the Content Policy and any general user Terms of Service in effect.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to monetize content on Silkfire (subscriptions, tips, gifted-sub revenue). Creators under 18 may publish free content with a guardian's documented consent.
You must be the legal owner of any content you upload, or have explicit license to publish it on Silkfire. You may not upload copyrighted work belonging to other parties.
You retain your copyright
You own the content you create. Silkfire receives a non-exclusive license to host, serve, translate, and display your content for as long as it remains published on Silkfire. You may remove your content at any time; the active license terminates when you do.
Silkfire may retain limited records of removed content as required by law (DMCA notices, NCMEC reports, tax records, dispute resolution).
You retain the right to publish your content elsewhere, including on other platforms. Silkfire does not require exclusivity.
Revenue share
Silkfire's current revenue share is 80% of eligible net revenue to creators, from subscriptions, tips, and gifted subscriptions. Eligible net excludes payment processing fees, foreign exchange costs, refunds and chargebacks, applicable taxes, and platform-rail fees on mobile (Apple App Store, Google Play). Silkfire retains the remaining 20%.
New fee types introduced by payment processors or platforms reduce eligible net automatically. Silkfire does not absorb new fees on your behalf, and does not pass them through to inflate creator share.
Silkfire may update the revenue share or fee structure with advance notice to active creators.
Money math uses integer cents only.
Payouts
Payouts are issued via Stripe Connect to your verified bank account. The current minimum payout threshold and schedule are published in the creator dashboard.
Stripe handles know-your-customer verification, tax reporting (such as 1099-K for U.S. creators meeting threshold requirements), and sanctions screening. You are responsible for any tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
Content standards
All content you upload is subject to the Content Policy. Violations may result in content removal, monetization suspension, or account termination depending on severity and history.
Termination
You may close your creator account at any time. Pending payouts are issued through Stripe according to its schedule. Your content is removed from public view; Silkfire retains limited records as required by tax and dispute regulations.
Silkfire may suspend or terminate creator accounts that violate these terms or the Content Policy. You will receive notice of the reason, except in cases involving illegal content or where prohibited by law. Silkfire may also pause service operation if required for compliance with law or material business reasons.
Updates
These terms are versioned. Material changes affecting active creators will be communicated by email or in-app notice in advance of the new version taking effect.
