Content Policy

Effective with the launch of Silkfire. v1.0.

Silkfire is a reading and creator platform for serialized manga, comics, and manhwa. This policy describes what content is allowed on Silkfire and how the platform moderates it.

Two content tiers

General. Suitable for all readers age 13 and older.

Mature. Contains nudity, violence, or other adult themes that serve the story. Mature content requires a one-time acknowledgement and minimum age 18 to view. The test for Mature: nudity and violence are allowed when they serve narrative purpose, not when sexualization or graphic violence is the point of the work.

There is no Tier 3. Silkfire does not host explicit pornographic content.

Prohibited content

The following are not permitted on Silkfire, regardless of artistic style, stated character age, or context:

• Sexualization of minors. Stylized pre-pubescent depictions are prohibited regardless of stated character age. This includes depictions stated to be of-age characters drawn with pre-pubescent body characteristics.
• Real-person sexualization. Sexual depictions of identifiable real people are prohibited.
• Non-consensual content presented approvingly. Depictions of rape, assault, or coercion framed as positive or aspirational.
• Content advocating real-world harm. Material that encourages violence against identifiable groups or individuals.

Violations result in content removal and may result in account termination. Suspected child sexual abuse material is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.

Moderation

Uploaded content is reviewed by automated systems at upload time. Ambiguous content may be escalated to human review. Moderation tools and processes may be updated as the platform evolves.

Content cached on Silkfire's content delivery network is subject to ongoing scanning for prohibited material. Matched content is removed automatically.

Reporting and appeals

To report content you believe violates this policy: email hello@silkfire.app.

Creators whose content is removed receive notice including the reason. Appeals may be submitted by replying to that notice. Silkfire aims to respond to appeals within a reasonable timeframe.

Updates

This policy is versioned. Previous versions remain accessible. Material changes will be communicated to active users in advance of the new version taking effect.
